Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 22, 2026
Ephrata Intermediate PTO ("we," "us," or "our") operates eispto.org to connect parents and school staff, support school activities, coordinate volunteers and donated goods, and collect donations and payments.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we collect:
- Your name, email address, account information, and optional profile photo.
- Grade, teacher, and classroom information you provide. We do not request student names.
- Feed posts, messages, volunteer signups, and donated-goods commitments you submit.
- Donation and purchase information, including amounts, dates, payment status, and recurring-gift details.
- Technical information used to operate and secure the website, such as connection information, server logs, and cookies or similar technologies used for account sessions.
Stripe processes payments. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or security code, although we may receive limited payment details and transaction records.
Cookies and technical information
We use a session cookie set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in. This website does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
When you make a payment or set up a recurring gift, Stripe's checkout page may set its own cookies and load its own scripts to process the transaction securely. Stripe's use of that information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not this one.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts, coordinate PTO activities, manage volunteer and donated-goods signups, process donations and purchases, provide receipts, send PTO communications, respond to requests, and maintain the website's security and reliability.
Who can see information
Account names and email addresses are available to administrators and are not published as a general member directory to other account holders.
The feed works differently: when you publish a feed post or comment, your display name and profile photo appear on that post or comment and are visible to other signed-in account holders, the same way a byline works on any shared post. Administrators can also see this information. Please avoid posting sensitive information or identifying information about students.
Teachers, Committee Members, and Admins can view volunteer and donated-goods signup information to coordinate activities. We share information with school staff and PTO committee members as needed for those activities. We do not share this information with sponsors.
Service providers process information as needed to support the website. These include Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database services, Resend for email, and Stripe for payments. We also use Squarespace for domain services and GitHub for managing website code; these functions do not themselves require access to member records.
We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, prevent fraud, or secure the website.
Emails and your choices
We send account-related messages and PTO communications. You can unsubscribe from optional email communications using the unsubscribe link in those messages. Unsubscribing does not prevent essential messages such as password resets, security notices, or payment receipts.
You can delete your own feed posts. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account or other personal information, email eisptoteam@gmail.com. We may ask for information to verify that the request concerns your account.
How long we retain information
Information generally remains in our systems until you delete it or authorized PTO personnel remove it. We may retain records needed for accounting, legal obligations, security, or resolving disputes. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or service-provider systems until removed through their normal retention processes. We may also retain limited information needed to honor an unsubscribe request.
Adults and student information
Accounts are intended only for adult parents, guardians, and school staff. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information. Although adults may provide grade, teacher, and classroom information, we do not request student names. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information so we can review and address it.
Security and updates
We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no website or storage system is completely secure.
We may update this policy as the website or our practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when required.
